Our Eco-Schools project

Since 2022, our school has proudly held the Eco-Schools label, an international label recognised by UNESCO for education in sustainable development - a strong commitment to the environment!

This programme, supported by the Geneva-based organisation J'aime ma Planète, guides us in reducing our ecological footprint and raises children's awareness of more sustainable lifestyles.

Every year, Eco-schools delegates, democratically elected in each class, play an active role in setting up projects to protect the environment. Among the many initiatives undertaken in recent years, one that stands out is the collaboration with the commune of Collonge-Bellerive. The children wrote to the town hall asking for support for an environmental project. It was an immense source of pride for them to see their voice heard and their actions supported by a local institution, going beyond the school.

A committed school
and pupils driving change

The children showed boundless creativity and motivation to drive their initiatives forward. Their enthusiasm has enabled them to imagine and implement concrete actions, with the support of the teachers who have guided them in the organisation and realisation of their ideas.

Among the projects that stood out:

The Eco-Schools Label: A Sustainable Commitment

Obtaining this label symbolises the school's commitment to a process of continuous improvement in education for sustainable development. It is an international accolade that recognises the work of the students and the entire educational community. But above all, it's not an end in itself, it's a starting point: our school continues to evolve and develop new initiatives for a future that is more respectful of our planet.

Thanks to these projects, we are training committed citizens who are aware of their impact and capable of taking action for a more sustainable world.
